Welcome to ALEC in Galway, Gateway to the West of Ireland. We are a network of experienced English language
teachers who specialise in intensive One-to-One English tuition while you live in your teacher's home.
All of our teachers have a minimum of 10 years experience in English language training as well as having had other careers before joining the world of teaching English as a Foreign Language.
They all bring a broad range of interests and expertise to the ALEC network.
The ALEC network has years of experience in designing and delivering general and specialised English language courses for individuals from various industry sectors, government entities
and secondary schools from across Europe and Asia.
All teachers in the ALEC network are trained in the communicative, inductive teaching approach and use blended learning methods combined with the latest internet resources that are available. As teachers, our basic philosophy is to inspire and motivate all our learners.
Activities
To make your learning experience beneficial, stimulating and enjoyable, the ALEC network
will guide you towards the best of Irish culture along the West Coast of Ireland from traditional Irish music and dancing to outdoor activities that involve hill walking, rock fishing and golf, horse racing venues, bird watching or indeed hobbies like pottery or arts and crafts.
